Work out what's worth building, before you build it.
Most companies know they should be doing something with AI and have no idea where to start. We find where it would genuinely pay back in your company, and where it wouldn't, and put it in writing.
3. Where the time goes
Fee earners spend an estimated 4–6 hours each week locating information that already exists within the company, most often the current version of a template, the company’s position on a procedural question, or what was previously agreed with a long-standing client.
Three of the four departments maintain their own copies of the client care letter. Two are materially out of date. No single copy is marked as authoritative.
Recommendation (priority 1). Establish a single approved source for client-facing templates before any system is built on top of them. Estimated effort: 3–4 days.
Most companies are being sold AI before anyone has looked properly at how they actually work. We do it the other way round. We map where the hours really go, what your employees are already doing to get round the gaps, and which problems are worth solving first.
You get it in writing: what's costing you, what to do about it, in what order, and roughly what each step costs. It's yours to act on, with us or with anyone else. If the honest answer is that you shouldn't build anything this year, that's what it will say.
Is this right for you?
- You know you should be doing something with AI and don't know where to start.
- You're being pitched from every direction and can't tell what would actually help.
- Your employees are already using AI on client work and you have no real view of it.
- You'd rather fix the right thing than the most obvious one.
Investment
Start with the free audit. The full package is £3,000, fixed.
Simple from start to finish.
Scoping questionnaire
A structured questionnaire covering how work enters the company, how it moves between people, and where it stalls. Brief for the audit, detailed for the full package.
Internal assessment
We spend time with fee earners and support staff as well as partners. The most useful evidence usually comes from those handling routine queries, and from the tools staff have adopted independently.
Written report
Findings, prioritised recommendations and indicative costs. A one-page summary for the audit, a full report for the package.

Common questions
Why is the audit free?
Because we would rather find out early whether we can help. If your problem is not one we can fix, an hour tells us that, and it costs you nothing to find out.
What is the difference between the free audit and the £3,000 package?
The audit is a questionnaire, a call and a one-page summary. Enough to know whether it is worth going further. The package is the whole company: we spend time with your employees, work out where the time actually goes, and give you a costed list of what to do and in what order.
What level of commitment does the package involve?
Two to three weeks, £3,000 fixed, and about an hour each from a handful of your employees. Nothing recurring, and nothing to run afterwards unless you choose ongoing support.
What if the conclusion is that we should not build anything?
Then the report says that, and why. It happens more often than companies expect, usually because the problem turns out to be a process one rather than a technology one. You get the reasoning, what we would do instead, and roughly what that would take. Knowing it now is worth more than finding out after the budget has gone.
What do you need from us?
The questionnaire filled in, then time with a handful of your employees, and not just the partners. We usually want a mix: someone client-facing, someone handling the admin, and whoever people go to when they cannot find something. About an hour each, most of it remote, worked around your diaries.
What happens after the report?
It is yours to keep, and it is written so that another supplier could act on it without us. If we are the right people to build what it recommends, we will quote for that separately, with no obligation either way. If we are not, we will tell you who to call. Some companies take the report and act on it themselves, which is a perfectly good outcome.
